About Kaye Barr Psychologist Perth, Psychotherapist Perth

Kaye Barr, psychologist Perth, is registered as psychologist and psychotherapist.  An earlier Bachelor of Psychology was later consolidated with a Graduate diploma on Psychology (Counselling) at Curtin University and an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy at Churchill Clinic (2002).  These experiential courses offered opportunities for valuable personal and professional growth.

Kaye has worked as a school psychologist, and many other roles.  She travelled overseas with her partner in a small yacht, returning to Australia after 7 years away.

Life has been rich with experiences. Kaye and her late husband have raised a son and daughter, and she has two grandchildren.

Kaye, psychologist Perth, takes a caring, holistic approach to assisting clients with their personal challenges.  She provides a safe, non-judgemental environment supporting individuals to reach their full potential.

Through her studies, employment and life experiences, Kaye’s interest deepened in the psychology of many everyday life situations:

  • states of being that cast a shadow upon our lives – depression, anxiety and the experiences of infertility, grief and loss
  • present effects of past experiences, such as growing up with an alcoholic or abusive parent; or having made poor educational choices
  • situations causing stress in the present, at work or home
  • creating and maintaining healthy relationships
  • and more …

Kaye has a long-abiding interest in Nutrition and its relationship to mental performance, mood and outlook, and overall well-being.  She works with Individuals and Couples towards healing and understanding.

As a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) Kaye is bound by the ethical standards of each.
