Kaye is highly qualified and experienced in many types of personal and interpersonal difficulties and specialises in assisting people to reach their full potential. She works with individuals and couples to grow through greater self-awareness, so that fulfilling relationships may be gained, life goals brought into focus and personal life skills enhanced. Her areas of expertise and specialisation include:
- Providing a ’safe haven’ to explore the interactions within relationships so that the proper course may be chosen to enhance the well-being of both partners
- Understanding the experience of depression, and exploring ways to get beyond it
- When anger or anxiety are predominant experiences, assistance is given to find a new approach towards issues and events, such that greater inner peace may be found
- Facilitating the exploration of the causes, experience of and possible ways to approach issues of childbearing such as unexpected pregnancy, infertility and post-natal depression
- Assisting with parenting towards gaining a sense of perspective and effective strategies
- Developing understanding of past experiences, and the impact they may be having upon present-day peace of mind
- Finding ways to interrupt behaviour patterns that are limiting ease and lifestyle enjoyment
The initial 1 to 3 sessions comprise an assessment phase. Issues are opened up and explored, and gradually various pathways are offered, some of which would be considered alternative.
A qualified psychotherapist, Kaye is committed to seeking the underlying cause of current experience. Similarly, appropriate nutrition provides the underlying foundation for much of our present well-being. In some situations, linking diet and nutrition with a verbal exploration of behaviour can lead to a speedier outcome.
Kaye is registered to provide rebatable services with:
- Medicare (including Non-directive Pregnancy Counselling)
- Department of Veteran Affairs
- Most Private Health Funds (these are also subject to the member’s level and type of cover)
